NFL Week 15 Picks

It's been a couple of weeks since I manage to actually have time to put these up in any way more than a description because I sort of have the time to do it. (Not really, I'm in a review session that is hard to contribute to when you aren't really prepared.)

- Bears over Saints... I really did pick this. Just think about it: Chicago, at night, in December. Does that sound like the environment a dome team can win in?? Remember the NFC Championship a few years ago? Was the Saints offense any more effective than the Bears offense then?
- Falcons over Buccaneers... I want to like this Tampa team, but if no NFC South team can win on the road, how are any of them going to stand out. First road to team to pull the upset gets the division by default.
- Redskins over Bengals... looking forward to that Bengals/Chiefs riveting season finale.
- Colts over Lions... if the Lions aren't tanking for the #1 pick, I don't know what tanking is.
- Chargers over Chiefs... REALLY looking forward to that Bengals/Chiefs finale.
- Seahawks over Rams... why wait for the excitement of that Bengals/Chiefs game when we've got the battle for the #3 pick right here and now?
- Dolphins over the 49ers... here's hoping the Wildcat formation can pull the wool over Mike Singletary's eyes... or just pull down his pants.
- Jets over Bills... since scoring 50+ points on the Chiefs, the Bills have 6 points in 2 games. You know things are going badly when Bills fans start wishing for Scott Norwood.
- Titans over Texans... for those who think the Titans are resting for the playoffs I have this: Win this week coupled with Steelers loss and the Titans lock up home field the week before the Steelers come to town when they can rest players and make game plans for a possible AFC Championship.
- Packers over Jaguars... has there been any bigger disappointments than these two??
- Vikings over Cardinals... I'm planning on the Cardinals preparing for the playoffs... by taking a week off. Sure they won't get a bye week, but I just can't trust a team that celebrates winning the NFC West with a chance to finish 8-8.
- Panthers over Broncos... NFC South at home versus a team that doesn't have a running back and lost to the Chiefs.
- Steelers over Ravens... Here's the chance for Pittsburgh to prove that defense wins championships by beating the most defensive defense.
- Patriots over Raiders... what do the Raiders have to go on at this point in the year??
- Giants over Cowboys... don't look now, T.O. is at it again. Simple math T.O. + press = loss.
- Eagles over Browns... you can always tell who the networks think the dark horse for the playoffs is every year. That team that plays a ton of national TV games after a breakthrough year. Usually they end up with a losing record and ratings are down... thanks, Browns.

Last Week: 11-5
Season 136-71-1

My uncle usually runs his and my picks against the picks of the KC Star sports staff. At this point he's in first and I'm in second. Those jerks at the Star gave themselves a win for the Eagles/Bengals tie. Go figure.

I do appreciate the over view of the teams struggling to get those top 5 draft picks. I'm disappointed in my Packers. Vainly they are struggling to attempt to make the so called "playoffs". When if the tried just a little harder, they might make that elite top 5 pick grouping.

On a side note, how can you pick against the Chief today? Arrowhead in December? Windy day? I truly think they have a great shot against a Chargers team that has struggled on the road. They'll give KC something to cheer about today.

A few questions for you - Was it a good move for Dave Christensen to take the job at Wyoming? Can he do anything there? Also, was Mizzou right by promoting from within by naming Yost the new offensive coordinator? Finally, what was Auburn thinking in hiring Gene Chizik as its head coach; was his work at Iowa State good enough to warrant this job?
